How did we get to the fabrics available today and what we can expect on the impact of textile technology in our lives?New ways of creating and manipulating fabricas are presented in order to stimulate interaction and intervention from designers in heir own everyday materials.

I don´t need to be the same all the time, I have freedom to keep many versions of myself. I don´t need that other approve me and my actions when I already feel plenty by my own. Emotional experience reconfigures an aseptic technological future, making an astronaut dress an African print uniform possible.

The objective was to explain the opportunities and challenges in the Brazilian fashion market to European entrepreneurs. Presentation of the course "Fabric Culture" offered from 2013 until 2015 as part of the Contemporary Fashion Culture Cycle from Rio Fashion Institute, Rio de Janeiro. In this class, fabric is presented as the main word for fashion creation. Students are stimulated to think about the different elements in fabrics like color, texture, composition, weight, fitting, through the past and the future of clothing. New ways of textile creation and manipulation are presented to stimulate the interaction and intervention of designers on their raw material.
